Frequently Asked Question

What our clients mostly ask about.

TIP-X is a membership-based organization, and our aim is to promote a healthy licensing ecosystem by empowering organizations to get access to more relevant commercial opportunities, have good licensing-related data at their fingertips, and can connect and organize as a standalone industry – the “Deep Tech Licensing Industry”. Members come from a variety of backgrounds – Fortune 25 Operating Companies, Licensing Entities, Funders and Investors, Universities, Service Providers, SMEs and Start-ups.

Driven by industry demand, in early 2024 we launched a “pilot” with a dozen diverse of organizations, including a global mix of leading Fortune 500 technology companies, public and private licensing entities, funders, patent pools, attorneys and consultancies, all contributing to a vibrant ecosystem.

Our formal launch is at IPBC San Francisco in June 2024, and all organizations involved in “healthy” technology and patent licensing ecosystem are invited to join, including SMEs, startups, universities, research organizations and service providers.  Organizations who take aggressive anti-patent positions and systematically refuse to engage in reasonable licensing discussions with professionals, as well as “patent trolls” who abuse the procedural aspects of the patent system with weak patents are outside of our membership target.

If you are interested in joining TIP-X, all you need to do is contact us, discuss options, and sign the Membership Subscription Agreement.

All our member organizations enjoy all the privileges of membership. We offer free membership for startups, universities, and nonprofits, and discounts for SMEs and select service providers. Contact us for more information and to organize a “try-before-you-join” setup.
